AVERT Membership

FEES OF $15.00 WILL BE ACCESSED ANNUALLY.

New PAID Members of AVERT will receive a Membership package consisting of a Membership Certificate, ID Card (picture optional except for Directors), ID Card Neck Lanyard, and an AVERT Logo Lapel Pin.

Renewing Members will receive a new Lanyard and an AVERT Logo Service Pin upon their fifth, tenth, fifteenth and twentieth renewal. Additionally, Renewing Members will receive Service Recognition Gifts upon their tenth, fifteenth and twentieth renewal.

Honorary Members receive ONLY a Certificate and are not accessed fees.

BOARD Director - Any individual, age 18 or higher, duly elected to a seat on the AVERT Central Organization or Subordinate Chapter Board of Directors, has been assigned to represent a subordinate standing committee, has agreed to a term of service of at least three years and who has full voting rights in AVERT organizational business.

Directors need not be CERT certified. Candidates for Board Director should demonstrate experience, knowledge or skills which will further AVERT's goals and mission. Directors are assessed the same fees as a member. Special procedures apply to this membership category. Please contact the Executive Secretary for more information on joining us as a Director of AVERT.

PAID Member - Any individual, age 18 or older, or business or government representative that has made application to, and been accepted by, the Central Organization or Subordinate Chapter Board of Directors, and who has full voting rights in AVERT Committee Business and Annual Membership Meetings. These members may form new chapters in accordance with applicable AVERT Policies and Procedures, or work on existing Committees, Corporate or Chapter staffs. These members shall be assessed Fifteen Dollars ($15.00) annually to cover the costs of producing their membership package.
FREE Member - Any individual, age 14 or older, that has an interest in CERT or emergency preparedness and response. These members may work on existing committees and may attend AVERT Board Meetings. FREE Members between the ages of 14 and 17 may not work on Corporate or Chapter staffs except as provided by Local, State and Federal labor laws. FREE Members are responsible for advising their respective AVERT Board with respect to their Community or Company ERT needs. FREE Members have no voting rights except within any committee on which they serve. They shall not be assessed membership fees.
HONORARY Member - Any person or entity declared by a Resolution of the Corporate or Chapter Board of Directors to have provided a vital service, or other significant benefit, to AVERT and the community. These members have no voting rights in AVERT Business and shall not be assessed fees.
