AVERT Resolution: # 2001-1
A RESOLUTION TO THE AVERT BOARD OF TRUSTEES FROM THE ABOVE DIRECTORS TO APPROPRIATE FUNDS FOR THE TRAINING & DRILLS PROGRAM ; WHEREAS, The George S. and Dolores Dore Eccles Foundation has provided $5,000.00 toward AVERT's Training & Drills Program, and WHEREAS, the aforementioned funds are intended to provide free initial CERT Basic Training to the public, and WHEREAS, AVERT desires to provide free CERT Basic Training classes to the public. THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the AVERT Board of Trustees appropriate available funds according to the following: 1. Russ Harmon and Kenneth B. Moravec be provided with $1,500.00 Each to provide cost free CERT Basic Training classes to as many Citizens as this funding will allow, 2. Mr. Harmon and Mr. Moravec will purchase necessary supplies, provide personal safety equipment for each student without charge and will offer the classes in accordance with FEMA and AVERT Guidelines, 3. The Treasurer will use the remaining $2,000.00 to renew the Corporation's General Liability Insurance and to pay the costs associated with the upcoming AVERT CERT Drill & Community Preparedness Fair scheduled for September 15, 2001, 4. The Training & Drills Committee will prepare a report to be delivered at the December Meeting of the AVERT Board, and to the George S. and Dolores Dore Eccles Foundation at their first quarter board meeting in 2002.
